August 2011 (Vienna, VA) - Solutions by Design II, LLC (SBD) is proud to announce that the U.S. General Service Administration (GSA) has awarded the company an 8(a) STARSII Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). The GWAC awarded is valued at $10 billion, over a five year base, with a one five-year option. The contract is active for marketing, with an expected "notification to proceed" at the end of August 2011.

As a winner of all Functional Areas (FA) of Constellation I, SBD joins industry partners with competitive pricing and technical proficiency. Each constellation is broken down into four functional areas designated by North American Industry Classification System (NAICS):

"The GSA 8(a) STARS II vehicle has been a part of our long term planning for quite some time," said SBD's vehicle Program Manager Clyde Goldbach. As noted on the GSA 8(a) STARS II website, the vehicle provides great values and features in attaining superior services that SBD provides in a streamlined process. The benefits clients will receive are:

• A low user access fee (0.75 percent) built into contractor's ceiling prices

The contract provides features to the government that few others allow:

• Multiple award, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle


• Five-year base with one five-year option


• $10 billion program ceiling


• Directed Order Authority: Directed task orders up to $4 million each are allowed for federal
     civilian and Department of Defense activities*
