Solutions By Design II, LLC selected to provide Training Management Support for USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service ME Management System: Next Generation Training Program

Vienna, Va. – November 3, 2020: Solutions By Design II, LLC (SBD), a leader in management consulting, technology services, and application engineering and maintenance support announced that it has been awarded a multi-year contract to provide the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) ME Management System: Next Generation (MEMS NextGen) Training Program with training management support services.

FNS administers the nutrition assistance programs of the USDA with a mission to provide children and needy families better access to food and a more healthful diet through its food assistance programs and comprehensive nutrition education efforts. FNS supports the USDA’s mission to “do right and feed everyone” by working to end hunger and obesity through the administration of 15 federal nutrition assistance programs. These programs include: The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children; Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program; and a number of adult and child feeding programs (e.g., the National School Lunch Program).

SBD, working with leaders and stakeholders in the FNS Office of Regional Operations Support (ROS) and Office of Information Technology (OIT), will manage the training program for the MEMS Next Gen application. Training management encompasses not only the design, development, and delivery of training, but supporting stakeholder engagement and maintaining regular communication with system end-users. SBD’s support services will adhere to federal, departmental and agency standards, policies and guidance, including best practices in technical documentation of System Development Life Cycle standards, and OIT policies and procedures.
